Dollar to Naira Exchange Rate Today, July 10, 2026: Nigerian currency records depreciation
The Naira depreciated against the dollar at the official foreign market on Friday to end the week on a negative note.
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira fell slightly to N1,379.62 against the dollar on Friday, down from N1,378.43 that was exchanged on Thursday.
This means that on a day-to-day basis the Naira depreciated against the dollar by N1.19 per naira.
Meanwhile, at the black market, the Naira remained flat at N1430 per dollar on Friday, the same rate recorded on Thursday.
DAILY POST reports that in the week under review, Nigerian currency recorded more depreciation than appreciation with N9.43 and N30 per dollar at the official and parallel foreign exchange markets.
The development comes despite the sustained upward movement of the country’s foreign reserves, which rose to $51.74 billion on July 9, 2026, according to the apex bank’s data.
