Disturbing mural showing toppled statue of liberty emerges in Iran amid chilling threats

A billboard depicting a fallen Statue of Liberty and crowds carrying Iranian and Shiite flags appeared in Revolution Square on Monday as commuters drove in Tehran, Iran.

The harrowing images are just the latest in the Iranian threats the U.S. has faced via murals or statues in Iran. Chilling threats toward the president’s life have been coming in droves, via newspaper articles, protests, and, perhaps most prominently, in the form of terrifying and bloodthirsty murals. Some of the drawings have depicted Trump as already dead.

In one mural, Trump and Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu are depicted drowning in a “sea of revenge”. The mural is displayed in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

In another chilling instance, billboards showing the corpses of first lady Melania Trump, her step daughter Ivanka Trump, and her son, Barron Trump, appeared in Revolution Square.

The billboard showed the Trumps with their eyes shut, and apparent bruising under their eyes. The word “killed” in English also appeared above each of their pictures.

“Hey, terrorist Get ready to die,” the haunting billboard installed above a highway in Tehran reads.

In another mural, a picture of the Republican president was displayed above a coffin in Palestine Square in central Tehran. The president’s five children— Barron, Donald Jr. Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany— also appeared in the mural, against the backdrop of the White House.

“Blood for blood,” the slogan in the mural read.
