The Director-General of Media and Communications to Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, has launched a scathing attack on Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) chieftain, Engr. Buba Galadima, describing him as a political opportunist who has contributed little to the growth of any political movement.

Speaking during a radio programme, Bature accused Galadima of building his relevance by aligning with different presidential candidates over the years rather than strengthening any political structure.

He claimed that Galadima’s influence has negatively affected the political fortunes of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement.

“Today, because of Buba Galadima, Kwankwaso has fallen into a ditch that has turned his political career into a near total failure, leaving him to be moving from one party to another,” Bature said.

The governor’s spokesman also revisited the political trajectory of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, arguing that Buhari only succeeded after distancing himself from Galadima and forging an alliance with Bola Tinubu.

“But I can bet you that when Buhari realized his critical political mistakes and did away with Galadima and his likes, and aligned himself with Bola Tinubu, that strategy gave him victory,” he added.

Bature further dismissed Galadima as lacking political influence despite his years in national politics, branding him a “political wanderer” who has failed to make meaningful impact even in his hometown of Bade.
