Suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked troopers, together with a serious main a army convoy, in an ambush close to Kanamma village in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State, resulting in their deaths.

The assault occurred at about 4 pm on Monday, October 19, 2026, with native sources saying an explosion struck the convoy’s first automobile earlier than the attackers opened hearth on different autos.

It was reported that the most important and three different troopers died within the preliminary assault, whereas further troops had been killed within the ensuing gun battle.

The ambush comes amid persistent safety threats alongside the Geidam–Kanamma and Mayamti routes, which sources mentioned had remained closed for months.
