APC, Makinde commerce phrases over alleged plans to promote Agodi fish farm
Oyo State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, and the State authorities led by Engineer Seyi Makinde are at present at loggerheads over alleged plans to promote Agodi authorities fish farm.
APC, in a press release signed by its Publicity Secretary, Wasiu Sadare, on Friday, alleged that the governor had concluded plans to unload the farm to a personal investor.
Sadare described the event as unlucky.
“We have uncovered fresh plans by Gov. Makinde and his cronies to expand the private Housing Estate projects around Agodi Government Secretariat which has birthed Baywood Estate.
“After the destruction of the enviable inexperienced zone that protects the atmosphere across the space, the subsequent within the line for Governor Makinde is to degree up the Government Fish Farm facility with a view to becoming a member of the massive expanse of land, which it occupies, with the non-public property,” the APC alleged.
But the governor, in his reaction, described the allegation as reckless.
Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Makinde said that the APC lacked accurate information.
He said, “For the avoidance of doubt, there isn’t a plan by the Oyo State Government to promote, cede, or in any other case switch the Agodi Government Fish Farm to any non-public developer.
“The allegation exists only in the imagination of those who appear more interested in generating headlines than engaging in honest public discourse.”
