Adamawa Man Charged for Alleged Theft of 27 Women’s Underwear
A 27-year-old man, Muktar Shehu, has been arraigned in Adamawa State for allegedly stealing 27 pieces of women’s underwear, which police say he confessed to taking for ritual purposes.
Shehu, a resident of Zango Ward in Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area, was brought before Chief Magistrate Court 3 in Yola after being charged by the Adamawa State Police Command.
Police Prosecutor Danjuma Hamidu accused him of house trespass, theft, and possession of criminal charms.
According to the First Information Report, Shehu allegedly broke into the home of Halima Yakubu on August 6, 2026, and made away with the items.
The suspect remains in custody following his arraignment, pending further court proceedings.
