2027: Tinubu will surely beat Atiku, Jonathan, others –  Nataro

Former governorship candidate from Kebbi state Mallam Salihu Nataro has assured that it would be very difficult for any other presidential candidate to beat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in next year’s presidential election.

According to Nataro in an a statement on Sunday, Tinubu had demonstrated sincerity when he acknowledged the errors in the policies of his administration and had assured Nigerians he was making concerted effort to correct them based on public opinion.

Nataro, a diehard supporter of President Tinubu, said he had no grudges against Atiku and Jonathan, however, saying he was  unsatisfied with their intention for the country, especially for their failure to disclose how they would tackle the country’s economic challenges or introduce reforms in all the sectors.

He said the youth of this country were waiting for a framework that would get Nigeria out of poverty, unemployment and insurgency which he said began during Jonathan and continued unabated in the Buhari administration, adding that both governments failed to find solution to insecurity when they were in power.

Nataro, a public sector reform advocate said the current

administration started with good reforms and introduced good policies, but regretted that it had not been able to do a away with subordinates and aides who have not lived up to expectation.

He also observed  that the failure of states governors to spread the dividend of democracy to the populace in the states and local governments had become an added burden to federal government.

Mallam Nataro advised the Tinubu to borrow a leaf from former President Olusegun Obasanjo who worked with an effective team made up of Okonjo Iwella, Nasir El’rufai, Charles Soludo, Nuhu Ribadu, Oby Ezekwesilli, among others, who did very well in the  government.

He said he was totally opposed academicians in governance due to their nature of prolonging policies and delaying development.

“This country needs skills and creativity rather than paper qualification,” he said.

Mallam Nataro urged President Tinubu to be accessible to those contributing through various channels so as to make governance effective and efficient.
