National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has said President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election if the process is free, fair, and credible.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Baba-Ahmed argued that Tinubu is disconnected from the realities facing Nigerians, citing poverty, economic hardship, and lack of industry in the North.

“The best way to verify this is not to look at figures and statistics; we must translate this into where human beings live. If it’s a credible, free, and fair election, Tinubu will lose maybe before 4 p.m.,” he said.

He criticized Tinubu’s public defense of the Independent National Electoral Commission, saying it was inappropriate for a sitting president and contestant to praise the electoral body.

According to him, such actions create the impression that the president is courting INEC’s goodwill.

Baba-Ahmed stressed that Nigeria’s worsening socio-economic conditions would play a decisive role in the 2027 polls, insisting that the electorate is eager for change.
