Oyo state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Moses Adeyemo on Friday urged party leaders, stakeholders and members to close ranks and work collectively for the success of the party in the 2027 elections

He gave the charge while speaking at the official unveiling of the party’s governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly candidates for the 2027 elections held at the party’s state secretariat in Ibadan.

Adeyemo confirmed that the candidates presented at the ceremony had been affirmed by the party as its flag bearers for the 2027 general elections.

The governorship candidate, Senator Sarafadeen Alli, expressed gratitude to God, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, party leaders, and members for considering him as the party’s standard-bearer.

Alli emphasised the need for unity among APC members in the state, adding that   those who contested the governorship ticket alongside him should not be regarded as opponents, rather as brothers and critical stakeholders in the collective struggle for the party’s victory.

Cautioning against division and internal disagreements ahead of the 2027 general elections, he said a united APC would present a stronger front and improve the party’s chances of electoral victory across the state.

He promised to run an inclusive administration if elected, pledging to prioritise education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure and other sectors that would positively impact residents across all parts of the state.

Other candidates unveiled included Hon. Soji Adedeji, deputy governorship candidate, as well as senatorial candidates, Senator Yunus Abiodun Akintunde for Oyo Central, Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunsean (Oyo North), and Hon. Engr. Aderemi Abasi Oseni (Oyo South).
