The Owo local government chapter of the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) has intensified efforts to mobilise grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The resolution was reached during the group’s monthly meeting held at Ijebu-Owo, Ondo state weekend.

The meeting, coordinated by Alhaji Adeola Yunisa, was presided over by the state Organising Secretary, Hon. Akeem Jimoh Humility and it  attracted party stakeholders and AMG members across the local government.

Addressing participants, Hon. Jimoh traced the origin of the AMG, describing it as a grassroots political support organisation sponsored by the Minister of Interior, Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, to promote and sustain President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He charged members to serve as ambassadors of development by strengthening the group’s structures at the ward and polling unit levels. He added that effective grassroots mobilisation remains crucial to the continued growth of the APC and its electoral success.

Other speakers underscored the importance of unity, sustained grassroots engagements, and active participation of young people in the political process, adding that these factors would be critical to the party’s success in the 2027 elections.

At the end of the meeting, members reaffirmed their loyalty to the leadership of Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and commended the APC National Working Committee for ratifying the party’s candidates, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Jide Ipinsagba, and Hon. Timilehin Adelegbe.

They also resolved to commence voter education campaigns highlighting the achievements of the APC-led administration, promote unity and issue-based politics within the party, and collaborate with other pro-Tinubu support groups to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In his closing remarks, Hon. Fatai Agbaje commended members for their commitment and urged them to return to their respective wards to commence immediate mobilisation.

The meeting ended with a closing prayer offered by Alhaji Isiaka Adesina, who encouraged members to remain steadfast and committed to ensuring the APC’s success in
