‎The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) has adopted the candidature of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for the August 15, 2026 governorship election, urging the electorate to return him for a second term.

‎The coalition also warned the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies against alleged intimidation, harassment and unlawful restriction of members and supporters of Accord ahead of the election.

‎The CRPP made its position known at a press conference in Benin City, Edo State, addressed by its National Chairman, Dr. Samson Isibor.

‎According to the coalition, its decision to support Adeleke followed its assessment of developments in Osun State and the performance of the incumbent administration.

‎The group said, “Adeleke has performed creditably well in areas that matter to the people. He deserved the opportunity to consolidate the achievements of his administration.”

‎The CRPP therefore called on the people of Osun State to come out en masse on August 15 and exercise their constitutional right by voting for Adeleke, while urging them to ensure that their votes are properly counted.

‎It urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remain transparent, impartial and professional throughout the voting, counting, collation and declaration processes.

‎The group further urged Osun voters to remain vigilant before, during and after the election, while calling on political parties, candidates, supporters and agents to reject violence and pursue their interests through lawful and constitutional means.
