18-year-old UK-based Nigerian convicted of murd?r after social media feud turned d3adly

An 18-year-old UK-based Nigerian, Emmanuel Popoola, has been found guilty of m¥rdering an 18-year-old man following a gang rivalry that reportedly escalated from an exchange on social media.

Popoola and co-defendant Tayvon Etefia were convicted at the Old Bailey over the d3ath of Keanu Harker, who was k+lled in June 2025 in Enfield, north London.

According to prosecutors, the incident stemmed from an ongoing feud between two rival groups, which intensified after comments were exchanged on Snapchat. The court heard that the pair allegedly chased Harker on an electric bike before Popoola fatally sh0t him at close range.

Following the incident, the two reportedly abandoned the bike, disposed of their clothing and attempted to flee. Etefia was arrested moments before boarding a train to France, while Popoola was later arrested in Paris and extradited to the UK.

The jury also found three other individuals guilty of attempting to help the suspects evade justice. Popoola and Etefia are expected to be sentenced later this week.
