15 Bandits K!lled, Several Others Injured in Zamfara Ambush

Fifteen bandits were killed and several others injured after local vigilantes ambushed a group of armed men operating around Gamo Forest in Gummi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The incident was reported on Monday by security analyst Bakatsine in a post on X. According to the account, the vigilantes acted on intelligence about the bandits’ movements and launched the ambush in the early hours of Sunday.

The clash left 15 bandits dead, with several others wounded and forced to flee the scene. Two vigilantes also lost their lives during the operation.

Bakatsine wrote: “Yesterday early hours (Sunday morning), vigilantes ambushed bandits operating around Gamo Forest in Gummi LGA, Zamfara State, after receiving intelligence about their movement. The encounter reportedly left 15 bandits dead and several others wounded. Sadly, two vigilantes also lost their lives in the line of duty.”

The analyst praised the vigilantes for their courage and sacrifice in confronting the armed group.
