Veteran Nollywood actor Francis Duru has died on the age of 57 following a short sickness.

The unhappy information was formally confirmed by his household in a press release revealed on his verified Instagram web page within the early hours of Friday, October 23, 2026. According to the discharge, the enduring display screen star handed away after a short battle with an undisclosed sickness.

The assertion reads:“We, the family of Francis Duru, regret to announce his passing following a brief illness. We appreciate your prayers, love, and understanding. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.”

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) National President, Abubakar Yakubu, additionally confirmed the passing of the veteran thespian.
